Integrating Data Analytics as an Internal Audit Leader - Online Classroom

Have you established or integrated a risk-based data analytics governance framework in your organisation?

With the advancement of technologies and the maturity and skills of the profession rapidly rising, data analytics is now a necessity for efficient and effective internal audit delivery. 

As internal audit leaders, establishing effective data analytics governance and capability within your internal audit function is a must.  This training is for internal audit leaders and management of internal audit and risk management functions that have been tasked with integrating a risk-based data analytics governance framework as part of their function. 

Learning Outcomes

The training will aim to provide internal audit leaders with:

·         A practical understanding of risk-based data analytics and data governance.

·         Insight into the levers that support effective integration of data analytics as part of the internal audit governance framework.

·         The relationships between the Data Lifecycle, the Data Analytics Process and Data Mining.

·         Critical success factors for you to consider when establishing a risk-based data analytics framework into your internal audit function.

·         Detailed understand of the end-to-end Data Analytics process – from Research and Design through Testing and Deployment.

·         Necessary information to hold internal audit and other related service providers accountable with respect to designing, developing and integrating risk-based analytics capabilities.

·         The capacity to better support their organisation achieve operational, tactical and strategic objectives through the use of data analytics capabilities and technologies.

Theo is a governance, risk management, controls and data analytics expert. 

He has had extensive experience in providing data analytics services to a broad range of public and private sector clients, including small and medium size privates; local councils; state and federal governments; not for profits; publicly listed entities; ATSI organisations; and others.

Through his experience, Theo has developed a database of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytic procedures that are performed on all types of quantitative, qualitative, structured and unstructured data sources. Each of these procedures is adapted, modified and aligned to the context and purpose of each client – with no shortcuts – to ensure the best possible outcomes and insights are gained.

 

Online Classroom:    This training course will be delivered in two 3 hour lessons (10:30am - 01:30pm AEDT) over two days  on 28 and 29 March using Zoom.

Registrations will be strictly limited to 12 participants to allow maximum interaction in the online environment.
