Auditing ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)

Organisations are increasingly more accountable than ever for adhering to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Auditing ESG allows organisations to assess what exactly they are doing to ensure longevity by aligning their mission, values, and strategy with the rising sustainability agenda. This provides an opportunity to flag any gaps between the organisation’s ambitions and what it is doing in practice.

The training course provides participants with an understanding of techniques giving them the confidence and skills to undertake effective internal audit assurance and engagements in these areas. This is a three-part training program providing a focused overview of all three subjects.

·      climate change, including net-zero and carbon-neutral considerations

·      waste and pollution

·      resource depletion

·      greenhouse gas emission

·      deforestation.

·      employee relations, diversity, retention and upskilling

·      working conditions, including modern slavery

·      local communities

·      health, safety and well-being.

·      board diversity and structure

·      executive remuneration

·      tax strategy

·      donations and political lobbying

·      bribery and corruption.

Learning Outcomes

·           learn about the latest thinking and topical practices in these areas

·           hear new ideas and techniques that will give you the confidence and skills to undertake effective internal audit assurance and consulting/advisory engagements in these areas
