Data Analytics is no longer optional for Internal Audit — but many teams struggle to move from concept to consistent execution.
In this session, Centium specialist Tariq Islam will share practical insights on how Internal Audit functions can effectively plan for, embed and use data analytics as part of everyday audit delivery.
Drawing on real internal audit engagements, the session will explore why data analytics often stalls during audit execution, common planning mistakes, and how a clear strategy and repeatable methodology can accelerate adoption. Tariq will also demonstrate how data analytics can be used to deepen assurance, focus audit effort on higher risk areas, and deliver more actionable insights — including a real world use case.
The discussion will also touch on how emerging tools, including AI, can support audit thinking and analytics execution when used appropriately.
