Petris is a mum, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a teacher, a coach, a student of life, a colleague, a mentor, a volunteer and a crew member. She has held many positions throughout her career, but through them all she has always a been a teacher, a storyteller and a creator of warm inclusive communities. Petris faced a life changing moment in her 30s that led to these workshops. Having stared mortality in the eyes, she changed her views on what was important and will challenge you to do the same. Each year she chooses something that asks her to stretch, grow and remember the joy of life. Some years this has been more successful than others. She has learned a musical instrument, studied martial arts, gone blonde, written a text book, helped establish a charity, changed her name, got a boat licence and learned to row. Petris lives life with a healthy sense of humour, an ability to laugh at herself and a focus on improving every day. she long ago gave up trying to be perfect and now focuses instead on being perfectly herself, enjoying the journey more and practising self-kindness along the way. She is a committed mindfulness practitioner and meditator. Petris loves early mornings, bird songs, water, the sound of laughter and warm sunny days.
