IIA-Australia's Victoria Chapter in partnership with RSM Australia, invites you to the second session in our Data and AI series—designed for internal auditors.
As AI becomes embedded across organisations, internal audit teams are being asked to provide confidence over governance, risk and control frameworks.
In this session, we’ll explore how organisations are applying AI in risk management and what this means for audit planning, assurance approaches and stakeholder expectations.
What you’ll learn
• How organisations are deploying AI today and the common use cases relevant to risk and compliance practitioners
• Key risks and control considerations across AI systems, including governance, data quality, model risk, bias, cyber security, privacy, third-party dependencies, and resilience of AI-enabled processes
• How to assess the security posture of AI solutions (e.g. data protection, access controls, and adversarial risks) and the privacy implications of AI-driven data processing
• Practical audit questions, evidence sources and assurance activities you can take back to your organisation
We’ll build on our prior session on strong data governance fundamentals and focus on what ‘good’ looks like when AI moves from concept to day-to-day operations.
Register to join your Victorian peers for an in-person, interactive discussion on this rapidly evolving area.
Please arrive at 5:00pm for registration and a 5:30pm start. Light refreshments will be provided.
