CPE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
CPE is facilitated through a self-certification process with the completion and reporting of required CPE hours on an annual basis.
Please refer to the
Continuing Professional Education Policy: Requirements for Certification and Qualification Programs (formerly known as Administrative Directive #4)
here.
The reporting deadline is December 31 each year. Certified candidates will receive three reminder emails from CCMS (Candidate Certification Management System) 90, 60 and 30 days before the deadline of December 31. All certified candidates will be required to login to CCMS and report their CPE. The CPE reporting fees will be payable directly to IIA Global through CCMS. The pricing structure is available here. IIA-certified professionals who fail to meet their CPE requirements by the reporting deadline will automatically be placed in inactive status and may not use their designation.
New CIAs are awarded 40 CPE hours and new CRMAs are awarded 20 CPE hours for the year in which the certification is awarded, they are not required to report the year they are certified.
IIA certified professionals are responsible for ensuring that the CPE information reported is accurate and up-to-date. Also, IIA certified professionals are responsible for updating their contact details on the CCMS, to ensure receipt of notifications and reminders from CCMS.
For further information on CPE reporting requirements, please review the
IIA Global CPE information page Please note: All certification holders must complete a minimum of two CPE/CPD credit hours in the subject area of ethics as part of their overall annual CPE (from 2018). Click here to view CPE Ethics FAQs.
