The IIA-Australia is governed by a board of directors.

Directors are volunteers who each hold office for a two year term, with one half of the positions on the board being up for election each year.  The president and vice-president/s are elected annually by the board.

The IIA-Australia has seven chapters throughout Australia which are run by local volunteer members who make up the chapter council. Chapter councils hold regular meetings for members and also provide input to the national office and the board on member needs and issues.

Opportunities to participate in the activities of the IIA-Australia as a volunteer include being a Committee member, mentor, writer. Please see here for the options and opportunities for involvement with the IIA-Australia.

The national office is based in Sydney and is lead by the Chief Executive Officer.
