Internal Audit Quality Assessment: Performing the Reviews

This course is open to IIA members only. It is designed to assist internal auditors ensure their activities comply with Standard 1300 – and more importantly realise the benefits of an effective Quality Assurance and Improvement Program. It will also help participants determine their level of readiness for an external assessment.

Outcomes
• Apply the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing to a quality assessment review case study
• Develop a solid understanding of the process used to complete a periodic internal assessment or external quality assessment of an internal audit activity
• Discover and utilise proven quality assessment tools and techniques
• Explore the recommended external quality assessment approaches and help participants identify the best approach for their organisation
• Fulfil one of the requirements to become a qualified External Assessor/Validator
