The IIA is represented on a number of prominent working groups and global committeed in Australia and abroad.

Representation on working groups in Australia

The Institute is a member of: 
  • The ASX Corporate Governance Council
  • OB/7 Working group on Australian Risk Standard 4360 and related pronouncements
  • MB/4 - Working group on the 8000 series on Corporate Governance

IIA also maintains regular dialogue with regulators, standard setters, industry bodies, external audit bodies and academia right across the country as part of its outreach program. This program aims to increase awareness of the role and nuances of the internal audit profession and to participate in guidance and training to internal audit's greatest stakeholders.

Representation on global committees

Australia is well represented on IIA's global committees to ensure that the views and needs of the Australian market are well understood as part of the policy, standards, guidance and strategy setting of IIA Global.
