Topic: Focus on exploring how contract management and contractor management fit within the complex compliance environment (e.g. third-party risk management regulations and Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018) and ever-increasing strategic sourcing activities. Hayden has been with KPMG for over twenty years starting in external audit before transitioning to internal audit services (2004) and has led our Queensland Contract Assurance & Performance team since 2018. Over this time, he has worked across all industries and geographies (internationally and domestically) delivering risk advisory, audit, compliance and governance related services, with a specialisation on energy and natural resources. This included a four-year secondment to KPMG Toronto (2006 to 2010) with their risk advisory practice primarily providing major project advisory services to the resources sector. In more recent years Hayden has led bespoke engagements helping organisation reset their target operating models over three lines of defence, contract management and compliance management. As part of his current dual role (internal audit and contract assurance), Hayden specialises in providing commercial advisory support to complex contract portfolios and support establishment & execution of risk/opportunity-based contract assurance programs.
