Recently I had the pleasure of meeting with almost 200 internal audit professionals from the public service at our annual Public Sector Assurance Forum.   When we met last year at the Forum, we spoke about the COVID-19 crisis winding down and business returning to normal. As we know, this recovery has not happened at the speed many of us had anticipated. Working remotely, staff shortages and strain on public resources continue to be major areas of concern, placing pressure on individuals, the business sector, and of course on the public sector.
