NSW Members Meeting-May-Cyber Security – the what, why and how

Cyber Security – the what, why and how (PART TWO)

Cyber security is a continually moving environment with evolving threats and opportunities. It has become front of mind for the Board, Regulators, Governments, and senior management alike who are looking to increase business’ cyber resiliency and avoid harmful attacks that lead to operational issues and public data loss. Cyber security can also be a confusing and sometimes fear invoking subject for individuals who do not come from a technology or IT background.

IIA-Australia NSW Chapter understands this and would like to provide our members with two targeted sessions in April and May aimed at helping you to understand the key risks and how Internal Audit teams can approach cyber security assessments.

The second session, presented by Ross Widdows (BDO Cyber Partner) will focus on how Internal Audit teams should approach cyber security reviews. Including, areas of focus, learnings from BDO’s experience, budgetary trade-offs, and key questions for the Board.
