The IIA runs an annual conference program, as well as special educational events in response to emerging topics and that impact the profession. The flagship event is the SOPAC® conference with attendance of up to 1000 delegates from Australia and overseas. There is also the Public Sector Internal Audit Conference held in Canberra each year, and regional conferences are based in Adelaide and Perth. IIA certifications are the only globally accepted qualifications for internal auditors. Candidates undertake self-study and sit exams via computer-based testing. Certifications available are: CIA® Certified Internal Auditor®, CFSA™ Certified Financial Services Auditor™, CGAP™ Certified Government Auditing Professional™, CCSA™ Certification in Control Self-Assessment™.Member Meetings and Networking
Members meetings are run across all chapters. Talks and presentations are held by industry experts on topical issues related to internal audit.
